J-Town 18

Iroquois 0

It was a great late summer night for the Chargers as they equalled their 2014 win total against an Iroquois team that had won 12 of their last 14 games coming into Friday night's contest.

After one big Iroquois pass early the Chargers settled down and their defense dominated the rest of the way.  J-Town picked off 5 passes including one by Dakota White which was returned for the first touchdown of the game.  White had two picks and teammates Demauri Haskins, Ka'Lon Howard, and Ray Hayes had one a piece.  The Chargers held the Raiderwolves to less than 200 yards of total offense and only 1 of 12 passing.

The Charger offense is still looking to execute better but did see improvement from their season opener.  Junior Quarterback Dylan Adkins led the way with 100 yards rushing and two rushing touchdowns.  Adkins completed two passes for 21 yards.

Seniors Jerin Price, Demauri Haskins, Alan Bokanga, Baxter Meurer and Ray Hayes stood out for the Charger Defense.  Junior Omega Gee had a solid showing at outside linebacker, as well.  Freshmen Ka'Lon Howard and Senior Devin Kavanaugh made big plays in the kicking game.  Junior John McGarry averaged over 40 yards per punt for the second consecutive game.  Senior Darryl LaPradd had a great night blocking from his Tight End position as did receivers Devante Jackson and Josh Cato.

The fan support Friday night was tremendous and the Charger Nation looks to grow stronger heading into the showdown with undefeated North Bullitt at Reynolds Field next Friday night!
